The Last Chance Saloon Midland

The Last Chance Saloon was a great venue for live music for many years. owned & operated by Faye Hammer, the Last Chance was one of the most comfortable feeling dance clubs in west Texas. It catered to a very diverse clientele from cowboys to attorneys - oilfield workers to office workers, twentysomethings to sixtysomethings. What made "The Chance" special was "Mama Faye" & "Miss Sara" (bartender & Midland institution) as well as the people that came in, always to have a great time. After Faye retired to San Saba to take care of her mom, the club had several owners and went through many changes before closing for several years. It has since reopened as "The Martini Glass Grill." I feel priviledged to have played there for the better part of 12 years at The Chance. Thanks to Rick & Billye Farmer for sharing the stage with me for the last several years. It was a lot of fun!
